God calls humans

If the world is going to hear the good news of God, it will be done through the voices of those whom He calls. His call goes out to everyone, ever born. Throughout history we see the efforts of those who allowed themselves to become believers of the Creator. Some of the well-known people were Noah, Jeremiah, Isaiah and Moses. In each generation, God calls but unfortunately, many reject that call. In a Bible study on West Main street, we have studied the life of the Apostle Paul, a follower “born out of time,” as he calls himself. He was not called when the Disciples were. Paul’s acceptance of Christ came on the back-end of a beast of burden, when Jesus flattened him to the ground. Maybe that is where the phrase comes from; “come off your high-horse!” Paul had spiritual help to dismount, he even knew who it was that bound him like a sack of potatoes. It was the Son of God! Paul had been searching the towns for Christians, bringing them back to Jerusalem. These people suffered pain and death at the hands of the Jews. Paul had to learn that destroying Christians, was working against God. One of the reasons we study Scripture is to see how satan works through his believers. He uses unbelievers to bring death to those he cannot personally accomplish. God doesn’t allow satan to murder so he merely gets those who are angry at the world, to do it for him. America is taking in these people every day, all they have to do is walk across the border; a free pass to your house by our President. Someday, you may have to defend your life from some folks. They want what you have and will do what it takes to get it. Welcome to a Democratic new lifestyle. In Matthew Chapter 28:18-20 Jesus says that his followers must be willing to preach to anyone, wherever there is an opportunity. In the O.T. God tells Jeremiah that if he does not tell his nation’s leaders about God, he will bear their death on his conscience. If he does tell and they reject on their own, then he will live spiritually. We must be willing to accept the work of sharing the Good News of the Gospel. Each believer must accept the challenge to be a part of Christ’s Kingdom.
