I was going to respond to three articles in the T.R., but after the recent extremely dangerous decision by the U.S. Supreme Court, I am wrestling with the avalanche of divisions that are plaguing America and the world.

The thought occurred to me that the old adage “The love of money is the root of all evil” is wrong-headed! I believe the deep seated historical evil the world is grappling with is the psychosis of Dogmatism or in simpler terms the mind of the bully!

If we examine both religious and secular or economic history, the battle over minds and resources, it was the uncharitable dogmatist bully mind that created conflict.

What really explodes the mind? When powerful forces both religious and secular normalized the bully mind in Nazi Germany and Italy, resulting in the Holocaust. The massive German crowds supporting Nazism were in a hypnotic state by the psychosis.of the bully mind (Hitler).

In my activism fighting for the survival of the diversified family farm system, I confronted the mind of the bully. The bully was the uncharitable market deregulator, the anti-government, pro-monopolist advocate. Now gaze at the folly surrounding agriculture production and the diminished diversified family farm system and the collapse of small town business.

Look around. The U.S. Supreme Court just normalized the mind of the bully (Trump)! The leaders of the Christian Evangelical community are normalizing the mind of the bully (Trump). Without the wholesale condemnation of the Jan. 6 insurrection, the major television networks have normalized psychosis, the bully mind of Trump!

If we are to believe the Crucifixion Story, it was the mind of the Jewish Dogmatist (the minds of bullies) that handed Jesus to the Roman Authorities and the Roman authorities then normalized the bully mind and we know the results of the psychosis of the bully. Now sadly because of the Jewish Dogmatist (bullies), Christian Dogmatist (bullies) have persecuted and blamed all Jews for the Crucifixion of Jesus, another factor which led to the Holocaust!

I imagined the image of the cross with the word DOGMATISM nailed above the head of Jesus with blood dripping from the word like falling rain!

In summary, the U.S. electorate has a choice whether to allow the continued normalization of the bully mind (Trump) or to rise up and defeat its ugly historical march into more folly or division.
