Fed up and frustrated

Ī’m laughing at myself because I have 21 unfinished letters in my draft section on my tablet. You see folks I’m suffering from mind clutter causing brain fog! I’m fed up and frustrated up to my ears with the political non-contexual discourse over what theologians call The Land Question or How do we respect both the land and the people to achieve real economic justice for the worker and farmer and re-heal or restore the land.

Currently both the left and right groups are not focusing on farm history in their discourse. For instance there are three controversial issues at the Iowa State House, Carbon Pipelines, Nitrates Cancer Monsanto-Clean Water Campaign, School Strong Public Schools Funding verses Vouchers campaign, that have a direct connection to very bad farm policy.

The Carbon pipelines issue to protect eminent domain takes the mind away from saying we don’t need Carbon pipelines in the first place! Cow-Calf pasturing operations on the land are natures way of cleansing the land of impurities and storing carbon. Jjust plain and simple no goofy nontexual discourse.

The reason why the problem of cancer and nitrates in the water not enough pasture too much corn and beans no cow-calf supply management plain and simple.

Not enough money to fund education, grain prices are not priced at parity so taxes are shortchanged plain and simple.

I just think left groups don’t know how to defend good farm policy anymore! They used to back in the 40’s under Roosevelt’s New Deal non-recourse grain loan program and during the 1980’s Farm Crises the Harkin-Gephart Save the Family Act!.

The non-recourse loan was an historical milestone of great economic , philosophical and psychological importance. Sadly that doesn’t seem to enter their minds of the unfocused when they scream that grain subsidies are the fault of water pollution and cancer. Farmers wouldn’t need subsidies if they got parity prices for their grains and had supply management or livestock back on the land for crying out loud. Get Focused

All the outrage over farmers getting subsidies and while the food stamp program is gutted get focused workers need a living wage plain and simple.

Citizens should ask the feet on fire question: Would you support the parity priced non-recourse loan on grains to all candidates seeking Iowa’s Sec. Of Agriculture position and all Congressional offices, plus the Governorship.

Starting at $4.38/week.
