Halee Pedro

Marshalltown Community College freshman libero Halee Pedro has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference’s volleyball Athlete of the Week for defense for the third time this season.

Pedro, a Kailua, Hawaii, native, leads the ICCAC in digs and ranks sixth nationally with 459 total digs for the 25-3 Tigers. She is in the top 20 nationally at 5.1 digs per set.

“Halee continues to be an anchor for us both defensively and in serve-receive,” said MCC head coach Justin Hoskins. “I’m happy to see her earn this award and I am looking forward to her continuing her high level of play as we enter the home stretch of our regular season.”
