West Marshall releases adjusted 2020 schedule
West Marshall announced a revised 2020 schedule Monday afternoon, less than three days after the IHSAA’s directive shortening the high school football season and giving teams a seven-week window to play regular-season games.
The Trojans will open its Class 2A schedule with a road game against Gilbert on August 28. They’ll open their home slate with games against Aplington-Parkersburg in Week 2 and Hampton-Dumont in Week 3. In Week 4 the Trojans visit Story City to play Roland-Story before returning home in Week 5 to host Forest City.
West Marshall hosts Clear Lake in Week 6 to celebrate Senior Night and ends the regular season on the road against Iowa Falls.
All teams will make the playoffs this year in the COVID-shortened season. The Trojans finished 6-4 in 2019, bowing out in the first round of the state playoffs.
