North Tama fifth, BCLUW sixth at Comets’ boys golf invite

CONRAD — The BCLUW boys’ golf team finished sixth out of nine teams at its own invitational on Monday at Oakwood Golf Course.

The Comets shot a combined 184 team score, finishing just back of North Tama (182) in fifth place. East Marshall was seventh (193) and GMG (213) was ninth. The winning team was Hudson (160) followed by AGWSR (162) and Union (164).

North Tama’s Paden Ketter was the top local finisher, placing 11th with a round of 42. Michael Bell added a 46 for the Redhawks, who closed out their team scoring with Trent Whitmore and Michael Schrier both shooting 47.

BCLUW’s Ray Callaway shot 43 to share 13th place, while his Comet teammates Mason Martin and Kade Pekarek tied for 22nd with rounds of 46.

East Marshall was paced by Toby Ryan’s 46 and Ethan Espenscheid’s 47.
