FORT DODGE — The Marshalltown boys’ swimming squad improved to 4-0 this season with a 98-65 dual meet victory over Fort Dodge in Thursday’s Iowa Alliance Conference matchup.

Nine different Bobcats had part in victories as Marshalltown claimed gold in 10 of 11 events. Fort Dodge (0-3) claimed its lone event with Colin Roberts taking the 100-yard breaststroke.

Kade Randall recorded a sweep of his four events, winning the 200 individual medley and the 100 freestyle while contributing as part of two relays (200 medley, 400 freestyle).

Lincoln Barker earned the top spot in the 50 freestyle and anchored both freestyle relays to victory.

Marshalltown dominated from wire-to-wire, powered by 44 season-best times and 19 lifetime bests.

Sam Greazel’s first time swimming the 500 freestyle was a success, according to head coach Mike Loupee, as Greazel logged an impressive time of 5 minutes, 36.06 seconds to win the race. Greazel was also a part of the winning 200 medley relay.

The Bobcats, led by Kaden Case, swept the 100 butterfly. Greazel led a trio of Marshalltown swimmers to the wall in the 500 as well.

Marshalltown returns to action at home Monday, hosting Grinnell, Newton and Vinton-Shellsburg at 5:30 p.m. at the MHS pool.
