Shenell Stewart

Marshalltown Community College guard Shenell Stewart has been named an Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 11-17.

Stewart averaged 13.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.8 steals per game this past week. In four games, she helped the Tigers go 3-1 while also averaging 6.8 rebounds, 3.8 steals and 28 assists per game.

Through the opening stretch of the season, Stewart leads the Tigers in points per game (13.9), rebounds per game (6.6) and steals per game (3.1).

MCC is 5-2 so far, having already exceeded last year’s win total (3).

The Tigers host Carl Sandburg College tonight at 5:30 p.m.
