MHS puts Dalke atop its softball program
Madaline Dalke
Marshalltown High School has announced Madaline Dalke as its next head softball coach. Dalke steps into the role following Jason Bowers, who led the program over the past three seasons.
Dalke currently serves as a social studies teacher at Miller Middle School and recently assisted with the Marshalltown High School volleyball program, working with both the varsity and junior varsity levels this past fall.
“I’m honored to step into this role and to be part of this program,” said Dalke. “My goal is simple: build a culture of hard work, accountability, and teamwork. We’re going to compete with intensity, support each other, and represent this community with pride. We want to put ourselves in the best position to succeed, and that includes striving for wins while focusing on growth and development.
“I’m excited to get started, connect with our athletes, and build a strong foundation for the future. Thank you for trusting me with this opportunity — now it’s time to get to work,”
Dalke was a standout collegiate athlete at Waldorf University, excelling as both a pitcher and an infielder for the Warrior softball team.
Dalke has extensive coaching experience in competitive travel softball, including serving as a co-head coach for the Oregon Rebels 16U College Exposure Team, where she traveled nationally to high-level tournaments, managed staff and team logistics, and supported player development on and off the field.
She coached at the 14U and 18U college exposure levels and spent multiple seasons coaching 10U-16U athletes with Panther Fastpitch in Medford, Ore. In addition to team coaching, Dalke has been a dedicated softball instructor since 2017, providing private lessons in pitching, hitting and fielding.
“Madaline brings energy, organization, and a clear commitment to building confident, competitive athletes,” said MHS athletic director Ryan Isgrig. “Her leadership style and vision make her a great fit for the future of Bobcat softball.”
