Marshalltown High School’s 1956 undefeated state champion boys basketball team that went 25-0 will be depicted in the school’s Hall of Honor with a large photograph presented by the Marshalltown Times-Republican and managing editor Robert Maharry, center, to representatives of the team and school, including Superintendent Dr. Theron Schutte and Principal Justin Boliver. The 1960 state champion Bobcat boys’ basketball team will be commemorated with a framed mirror noting the achievements of a team that went 24-2 on its way to the state title. The presentation was made at halftime of Monday’s MHS boys’ basketball game against Des Moines North.
