Ravens cut Pavia ahead of camp

OWINGS MILLS, Md. — The Baltimore Ravens waived quarterback Diego Pavia on Thursday, just a day before rookies were to report to training camp. Pavia, the Heisman Trophy runner-up last season at Vanderbilt, signed as an undrafted free agent in April. He had hoped to compete for the third quarterback spot behind two-time MVP Lamar Jackson and veteran Tyler Huntley. Skylar Thompson and Joe Fagnano will vie for that spot. Pavia led Vanderbilt to the first 10-win season in program history, passing for 3,539 yards and 29 touchdowns. But his 5-foot-10 stature was a major question among ...

We have to be happy. We should be proud of what we did and from now ...

TAMPA, Fla. — It used to be the biggest rivalry game of the week, the month — maybe the entire season. In 2026, Florida and Tennessee will be complete strangers. Their once-a-year matchup that, back in the day, featured Steve Spurrier, Peyton Manning, Phillip Fulmer and snark that sometimes even outweighed the stakes — “You can’t spell Citrus without ‘U-T’” — is absent from the schedule for the first time in 37 seasons. Alabama-LSU — soon that’ll be gone, too, for the first time since 1963. The Gators and LSU — they’ll miss each other this year for the first ...
