Homecoming festivities lined up
Bobcat football season is well underway and the 2019 Homecoming celebration kicks off this week.
The Bobcats will host the big game 7:30 p.m. Friday against rivals Ames High School. Marshalltown will be looking to celebrate Homecoming by going 4-0 on the season.
Along with the game, high schoolers will also be excited for all the festivities that go with the school celebration. The 2019 Marshalltown High School Homecoming Court includes:
Queen candidates:

King candidates:

The community is invited to see the football team and many other high school athletic teams, clubs and activity groups as they roll down Main Street for the Homecoming parade 6 p.m. Thursday.
Later that evening, one king and one queen candidate will be chosen as Homecoming royalty after a pep rally 7 p.m. Thursday at the MHS/Community Auditorium.
Students have also been preparing for the annual Homecoming dance, figuring out what to wear and finding a date to take with. The dance is set for 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday at the high school cafeteria.
