The Arts + Culture Alliance is seeking Marshall County songwriters who create and perform original music in Spanish, English or a blend of both languages for an upcoming Día de los Muertos Songwriters Showcase this fall.

The showcase will celebrate the healing power of music while honoring Latino culture, storytelling and community through original songs. While details about the event will be announced at a later date, the ACA is now accepting applications from local musicians interested in being part of this special performance.

To be eligible, applicants must:

• Be 16 years of age or older.

• Reside in Marshall County.

• Perform original music they have written.

• Submit a sample or link to the music with their application.

Applications are open now and will close on Sept. 1. Following the application deadline, submissions will be reviewed by a selection committee. Four songwriters will be chosen to perform during the showcase.
