PRAIRIE CITY — Escape the summer heat and join photographer and volunteer Mike Cox for an indoor photography workshop at Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge, 9981 Pacific St., Prairie City. This indoor program is scheduled at the refuge visitor center’s conference room from 10 a.m. to noon on July 18. Come for a fun, nature-inspired photography experience.

Explore a variety of hands-on activity stations designed to help budding photographers practice different photography techniques, experiment with composition and discover new creative perspectives. Whether just getting started or have years of experience behind the camera, there’s something for everyone.
