Street Rehab Work is in full swing. If the weather can hold out for the next week, the City is anticipating a significant amount of work between now and July 13.

Those along or adjacent to the streets being improved, be aware that parking on these streets may not be allowed. These streets are closed to thru traffic during many of the operations, if the road closed sign is up – do not drive through the construction work area. Limited access is being allowed for those that have driveways or for business – school access within the work zone and only when construction equipment is not in the way. For those that do not have space in the driveway that are on the route, the crews are allowing them to park on their yard at risk of damage to the grass. Police Department and Parking Enforcement will not enforce yard parking during the project along these project streets during construction.

Once the interlayer is down, traffic can resume to normal on streets until the asphalt surface comes – which will follow with additional curb and utility work. There may be small elevation changes at the tie-in points. Take it slow. There will be some minor curb and utility adjustments on-going within these work zones – so continue to proceed with extra awareness.
