The Marshalltown Community School District invites families to attend Back to School Night on Aug. 19, an event designed to welcome students and families to the 2026-27 school year.
Each school building will host its own event at the following times:
• Elementary Schools: 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Lenihan Intermediate School: 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
• Miller Middle School, Marshalltown High School, Learning Academy & Therapeutic Classroom: 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Back to School Night offers a great opportunity for students and families to meet the teachers, explore classrooms, and get familiar with their learning environments before the first day of school on Aug. 24. Preschool classes will begin on Aug. 31.
Teachers are excited to welcome the students back and encourage families to stop by, say hello and get ready for a fantastic start to the school year.
