Parks and Recreation to begin mowing around ponds

On Aug. 3, Marshalltown Parks & Recreation will begin mowing the tall grasses surrounding Glenwood, Goldfinch and Timber Creek Ponds as part of its ongoing park maintenance efforts.

While the natural grasses provide important environmental benefits throughout the growing season, periodic mowing helps maintain the health of these areas, improves visibility and keeps the parks looking well cared for. This maintenance also provides better access for visitors who enjoy walking, fishing and spending time around the ponds.
