DES MOINES -- “Big E,” the 3,026-pound Red Angus bull owned by Brett and TJ Goecke, of State Center, outweighed the competition to win the Super Bull Contest judged Aug. 13, at the 2026 Iowa State Fair.
Gary and Barbie Ruebel, of Saylorville, claimed second place with the 2,834-pound Simmental bull, “Benny” and Claire and Lynn Henry, of Indianola, took home third place with “Ashland,” a 2,782-pound Angus bull.
“Big E” will be on display in the Cattle Barn at the Iowa State Fair through Aug. 23.
