GARWIN -- The Green Mountain-Garwin Community School District invites students, families, alumni, staff and community members to celebrate an exciting milestone in the history of GMG Schools as it officially breaks ground on the future of the Secondary School. Supporters of the Wolverines are encouraged to attend and celebrate this historic occasion from 8:15 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Aug. 24 at 306 Park St., Garwin.
This special event marks the beginning of a transformational construction project that will preserve the legacy of GMG while creating efficient and safe learning spaces for generations of Wolverines to utilize. The ceremony will include welcoming remarks from district administrators, an opportunity to hear community reflections, the official groundbreaking and a closing with the Pledge of Allegiance.
GMG groundbreaking t-shirts will also be available for purchase online to celebrate this once-in-a-generation event. Shirts will be available for shipping, pick up in Marshalltown at Happily Ever Crafted – In Stitches, or sent home with the student.
