As summer begins to fade and fall draws near, people are reminded that every season invites them to pause, reflect and reconnect. Along the way, it’s easy to lose sight of the younger versions of who they once were, the dreams they carried, the questions asked and the people who helped shape them.
Come for an evening of reflection as local artist Austin Chadderdon (Soul or System Photography) presents "When I Grow Up," a powerful portrait exhibition exploring childhood, identity and the passage of time through timeless imagery.
Made possible through the Arts + Culture Alliance’s 2025 Artist Innovation Grant, this exhibition brings Chadderdon’s vision to life and invites viewers of all ages to see themselves--and one another--in a new light.
In this exhibition, photographer Chadderdon presents a profound exploration of human connection, capturing the beautiful ache of a fleeting youth through the lens of timeless portraiture.
Ultimately, these portraits trace the invisible lines of who they were and who they are meant to protect.
"When I Grow Up" will be presented from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 28 at Arts + Culture, 126 W. Main St. Light refreshments will be provided.
