Film series for adults continues Aug. 24

The film series for adults continues at 2 p.m. on Aug. 24 in the Marshalltown Public Library's community meeting rooms.

The library's movie license forbids the use of film titles in publicity; therefore, the staff invites the public to play the movie guessing game.

The August film is a 2000 spirited autobiography by writer-director Cameron Crow. Starring Patrick Fugit, Kate Hudson and Frances McDormand, the film charts a teen's coming-of-age around the Age of Aquarius. Crowe learns all about life, love and rock & roll while touring with a rising band.

Join film critic, Tom LaVille, for a discussion after the movie, as well as free popcorn and lemonade. This event is free and open to the public, aged 18 and over. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Marshalltown Public Library.
