Loss of a Spouse seminar is Aug. 18

The Loss of a Spouse is a stand alone, 2-hour seminar for grieving a spouse’s death. This seminar will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 18 at New Hope Christian Church, 3901 S. Center St., Marshalltown. (Enter at the SW entrance/Door #4)

This seminar features video interviews with counselors, grief experts and widowed men and women. They offer helpful insights on:

• What to expect in the days to come

• How to deal with the loneliness

• What to do with the spouse’s belongings

• Why it won’t always hurt this much

• And other practical help for dealing with the challenges of widowhood

Everyone who attends will receive a booklet with more than 30 short readings on how to live with grief and eventually rebuild a life after the loss of a spouse. A donation of $5 is suggested to help cover the cost of materials.
