Marshalltown Community YM-YWCA subject of Historical Society event

The 150-year-old history of an iconic organization is the subject of the Aug. 11 "History on Second Tuesday" event sponsored by the Historical Society of Marshall County.

YM-YWCA CEO Kim Jass-Ramirez and marketing director Andrew Potter will co-present the compelling history of the Ys major positive impact on the health and needs of thousands of central Iowans during its tenure.

The presentation will be held in the board room at the Y, 108 Washington St., Marshalltown. It begins at 6:30 p.m. The program is free-of-charge and open to the public. Free-of-charge parking is available at the Y.
