Friends of MCS gathered in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the 2006 inaugural classes of Marshalltown Christian School to celebrate God and His provision of MCS.
With the mission of "glorifying God through biblical, Christ-centered education, providing academic excellence and preparing students for service and leadership," MCS's small, humble beginnings served 12 students during the 2006-07 school year from kindergarten through second grade using the facility of New Hope Christian Church.
Over the next decade, MCS expanded significantly to kindergarten through eighth grades, achieved CSI accreditation, and moved into its own building in 2016 where it currently resides at 1408 S. Seventh Ave.
"Twenty years on, MCS is maturing and flourishing," said Head of School Bethany Wirin. "The current enrollment is 123, and our expanded team ensures every student receives individual attention to reach their goals. We thank God and our many faithful givers for our beautiful new library and recreational field. We look forward to watching the Lord work in the lives of the children at MCS this year."
