WATERLOO -- Natalie Andrade and Gissel Hernandez, both of Marshalltown, received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with Cum Laude honors and Emma Beck, of Grundy Center, received a BS in Nursing with Magna Cum Laude honors from Allen College. The College awarded 33 degrees during its commencement ceremony on Aug. 14.
Allen College conferred three Bachelor of Health Sciences in Medical Imaging degrees, one Bachelor of Health Sciences in Public Health degree, 26 Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees, one Master of Science of Nursing degree and two Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees.
Allen College held its graduation at the Waterloo Convention Center. The ceremony celebrated graduates from both the School of Nursing and the School of Health Sciences. Dr. Jared Seliger, president of Allen College, gave the commencement address during the ceremony.
