DES MOINES -- State Treasurer Roby Smith is celebrating Zachary S. as the Grundy County winner of a $529 contribution to an ISave 529 account through the statewide summer giveaway. With another giveaway now underway, Smith is encouraging families to enter for their own chance to jump-start their education savings.
“This summer, we set out to give a child in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties a boost toward their future,” said Smith. “I’m excited to congratulate Zachary and their family on representing Grundy County. Whether these funds are someday used for college, an apprenticeship or another eligible education expense, that $529 will be useful for Zachary’s future.”
“Thank you so much for this giveaway! Entering the drawing was very easy and opening the 529 account for my son was quick and easy also. We appreciate this opportunity,” said Alyssa Sealman, who entered Zachary in the summer giveaway.
The summer giveaway may be over, but Iowans have another opportunity to win. In celebration of College Savings Month, State Treasurer Smith is giving away one $1,000 ISave 529 contribution in September.
