Marshalltown IowaWORKS office cordially invites residents to come visit in September as they celebrate National Workforce Development month. This is the annual event to build recognition for the professionals, programs and partnerships that connect people across the country with meaningful careers, help businesses develop talent and strengthen communities.
Workforce professionals make a difference by helping individuals overcome barriers to achieve career goals. They also support strong, resilient economies by helping businesses find the people they need to grow and develop the communities.
IowaWORKS offices around the state will be hosting open houses this month to discuss the work done there and the services available. IowaWORKS Marshalltown will host its Open House from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 23 for business partners, employers and community leaders at 101 Iowa Ave. West, Suite 200, Marshalltown. All are welcome to visit and see first-hand the resources available through Iowa Workforce Development to bridge talent and opportunity.
IowaWORKS will also host the monthly Grab A Job Wednesday Career Fair from 10 a.m. to noon on Sept. 30 at the Marshalltown IowaWORKS center. Grab A Job Wednesday career fairs are planned for the last Wednesday of each month, and all employers and jobseekers are welcome. Employer registration is required.
