Discover the incredible journey of monarch butterflies as staff and homeschoolers explore the life cycle, migration and the challenges they face along the way from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sept. 11 at Grimes Farm and Conservation Center, 2349 233rd St., Marshalltown.
Participants will learn how scientists study monarch populations through tagging and will have the opportunity to help tag monarch butterflies for migration research if weather and butterfly conditions allow.
