The Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA has launched its 2026 Annual Campaign with a goal to raise $150,000.
The Y Annual Campaign helps provide access to the Y facilities and programs and for those in need in the community, especially youth. No one is ever turned away from the Y for the inability to pay and the Annual Campaign ensures this fact.
It also helps the Y provide programs such as LIVESTRONG for cancer survivors and more programs to strengthen Marshalltown.
Chairs of the 2026 Y Annual Campaign are Patty and Jim Bowman, who have been active members of the Y and Jim has served on the Y Board and Heritage Club Board.
Jim has been a Y member for 73 years and their six children, who are now adults, grew up at the Y.
"The Y's impact on all of us has been immeasurable," the Bowmans said. "Beyond promoting health and wellness, the Marshalltown Y has strengthened our community by bringing people together of all ages who share common interests, stories and goals, resulting in friendships. Please reflect on your Y experiences and be sure to donate today!"
The Y Annual Campaign helps fund critical water safety programs, provides youth with a safe place to exercise and socialize and builds the feel of community to many who need it.
