JOHNSTON -- The Thanksgiving season gives us a moment to pause and appreciate the people, moments and experiences that make life meaningful. But, gratitude doesn't have to stop at saying "thank you." It can inspire us to give back.
Giving back can be as simple as taking an hour to roll up that sleeve and making a blood donation. Every two seconds, someone's life relies on a blood transfusion. Those in need include cancer patients, burn victims, surgery recipients and countless others. The only way to ensure these
patients get the care they need is through volunteer blood donation. It takes less than an hour and
helps strengthen the local blood supply, so patients have access to the care they need, when they
need it.
Give thanks. Give blood. Give life.
