Iowa author Julie Sunne will sign copies of her award-winning devotionals at Stepping Stones in Marshalltown from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 12. The Thanksgiving-season event will feature her newest book, "Thankful: A 90-Day Devotional & Gratitude Journal," an ECPA bestselling new release centered on practicing gratitude even in difficult seasons.
Through difficult circumstances in her own life, Sunne came to see gratitude as more than a pleasant habit. "Gratitude for the Christian...isn't just a pleasant habit. It's a vital spiritual discipline," she writes. Thankful invites readers to recognize God's faithfulness and discover "the freedom and joy of living thankful."
Sunne will also sign her Selah and Golden Scroll Award-winning book "Sometimes I Forget: 60 Reminders of Hope for Your Hard Days," a 60-devotion hardcover written to help readers remember God's character and promises during difficult seasons.
Sunne will meet readers and sign or personalize books throughout the day. Books will be available for purchase, and readers may also bring copies they already own to be signed.
The Marshalltown appearance is the second stop on Sunne's four-city Iowa book signing tour Nov. 11-14.
