The Marshalltown Area United Way 2026 Turkey Trot Committee would like to invite everyone- runners, walkers, families and community members of all ages and abilities to come start the holiday weekend with one of Marshalltown’s favorite annual traditions: the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 27.
Whether a competitive runner aiming for a personal best or looking for a fun way to get moving before
the holiday feast, the Turkey Trot offers something for everyone. Participants can choose from a 10K, 5K or the family-friendly 1-Mile Fun Run.
All races will begin at 8 a.m., following a special presentation of the National Anthem by local vocalist Layla Wimberly. Participants are encouraged to arrive early to ensure an on-time start and “warm-up” with Holy Grounds coffee. In the spirit of giving back, Holy Grounds will generously donate 10% of event-day sales to Marshalltown Area United Way.
Participants who register before Nov. 20 are guaranteed an official 2026 Turkey Trot t-shirt with the race packet. Packet pickup will be available Nov. 23-25 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Same-day registration will be available pending open slots.
For full event details and registration, visit www.unitedwaymarshalltown.org or follow the Turkey Trot event on Facebook.
