GRUNDY CENTER -- Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will host a Succession, Transition and Estate Planning workshop from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 17 at the Grundy County Community Center, 705 F Ave., Grundy Center.
The workshop is designed for farm owners, family members and individuals interested in developing a successful transition plan while addressing estate planning goals. It includes a goal setting and communication exercise, challenges to estate planning discussion, a farm transition case study, a discussion about fair vs equal, sweat equity vesting and the next steps to take in the process. A catered lunch from The Landmark Bistro is included with the registration.
This program is presented by Patrick Hatting, Farm Business Management Specialist with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and designed to help farm families begin important conversations and planning efforts for the future of their farms.
