When I was younger, so much younger than today (credit The Beatles for that lyric from "Help"), television networks would rerun programs that had originally been broadcast the previous fall and spring. A few still do, like "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy," but those are syndicated shows. IVCCD awarded $5 million SBA grant to support small manufacturers

Iowa Valley Community College District has been awarded a $5 million grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration to provide training and technical assistance for small manufacturers across the district's four-county service area. IVCCD's grant will fund hands-on, in-person training and technical assistance in robotics, automation, industrial software, advanced manufacturing, welding, machine tool competencies and industrial maintenance for small manufacturers in Hardin, Marshall, Poweshiek and Tama counties. Iowa State University opens cyber resiliency initiative to Iowa towns, counties, schools

After a year of information gathering and piloting programs, Iowa State University is expanding its state-supported and federally funded cyber resilience program to political subdivisions across Iowa. The Ames university leads the Iowa Cyber Resilience Initiative through its Center for Cybersecurity Innovation and Outreach, center director Doug Jacobson said, supported by portions of $3 million in FEMA funding allocated to the state.
