An episode of the Travel Channel television show “The Dead Files” that was filmed in Marshalltown last fall will premier Friday night at 9 p.m. Entitled “The Lady in Black: Marshalltown,” the episode has the show’s stars medium Amy Allan and retired NYPD homicide detective Steve DiSchiavi investigate unusual activity tormenting a husband-and-wife team of paranormal investigators.

During her unsettling late-night walk, Amy encounters the spirit of a malicious dead woman set on taking the life of the innocent. The television show first hit the airwaves in 2011, and the pair travel the country in search of the paranormal. In each episode, they investigate a case independently and keep their findings hidden from each other to preserve the integrity of their discoveries.
