A Van Horne woman has been identified by the Iowa State Patrol as the victim of a collision which occurred east of Tama on Friday night, according to the Tama News Herald.

Tamie Anne Cockrell, 38, died at the scene about 10:30 p.m., according to the patrol.

She was reported by the patrol to have been eastbound on U.S. Highway 30 near the intersection with Tama County RR Avenue when a semi operated by Adam Russell Nurre, 34, of Dyersville crossed a double center line and collided with her vehicle head-on.

The accident remains under investigation.
