Panther pair selected as All-American
CEDAR FALLS — Northern Iowa seniors Jared Farley and Elijah Campbell have been named FCS All-Americans by The Associated Press, the media outlet announced Tuesday.
This marks the first time the UNI football team has had multiple AP FCS All-Americans since 2014, when four players were honored with selection.
Farley, a linebacker, was named to the second team after leading the Panthers with 122 tackles this season. He recovered two fumbles and returned one for a touchdown, and added a touchdown reception during UNI’s first-round FCS Playoff victory.
Campbell, a safety, received third-team honors after finishing the season with 51 tackles, five interceptions, two forced fumbles and 12 pass breakups.
Both Farley and Campbell were first-team all-Missouri Valley Football Conference selections.
