Joann Wall, 91, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on June 9, 2024 at Bickford Cottages in Marshalltown and under the care of Iowa River Hospice. A graveside service for Joann will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Montour, Iowa beginning at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Terry Collins officiating. Memorials in Joann’s name may be directed to her family for a later designation. Shirley Brooks McKee Freers, 97, passed away peacefully on May 22nd, 2024 in Madison, WI where she resided the last five years. Shirley was born September 1926 in Stratford, Iowa. She grew up in Marshalltown, Iowa where she graduated from high school in 1944 and then studied art at a college in Boulder, Colorado. Shirley married Don McKee in 1947 and had two children, Sharyn and Michael. In her spare time, she did gardening, tennis, bridge, Catholic study club and showed ponies.
