WEST DES MOINES — The Marshalltown boys’ tennis team was unable to join its top doubles team in state qualification, falling in the first round of substate play on Wednesday morning. The Bobcats were eliminated by Class 2A No. 10 Cedar Falls, 5-0, in Substate 2 play at Valley Southwoods Freshman High School. INDIANAPOLIS — Caitlin Clark has a back injury and was ruled out by the Indiana Fever for Wednesday night’s game against the Portland Fire. The Fever disclosed Clark’s injury less than two hours before tipoff. She had not been listed on Indiana’s injury report a day earlier. The star guard has not missed a game this season after her 2025 campaign was cut short by a series of injuries.
