Dale Slingluff, of Toledo, will celebrate his 100th birthday with an open house 2-4 p.m. Oct. 4 at Premier Estates formally Carrington Place of Toledo in the dining area of the apartments.

Dale was born Oct. 4, 1914 in Highland Township of Tama County to Clyde and Verna Slingluff. He married Helen Hempy on June 25,1943. They farmed in Highland Township for 45 years. Helen passed away in February 2001.

Hosting the event will be Dale’s family which includes a son Terry (Jeanne) Slingluff, St. Cloud, Minn., and daughter Barbara (Elmon) Tatroe, Waverly. Dale has five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
