Junior Achievement program at Delta Kappa Gamma

Psi Chapter Delta Kappa Gamma held its October meeting at the Marshalltown Public Library.

Erica Finders head of the local Junior Achievement Program presented the program. Finders gave details about the program offered in the Marshalltown Community School system. She shared the structure of the program and positive comments from students and program presenters. Presentations to students are made by volunteers and school staff. She invited anyone interested in volunteering to contact her. The highlight for the students is spending a day in Des Moines at an interactive event.

President Michelle Ritter conducted the business meeting. She informed the group that Iowa Upsilon is now divided into five districts. Psi Chapter Marshalltown is a part of the central district. In order to improve communications and to educate local chapter leaders, district meetings will be held the last three weeks of June.

In order to get members to know each other better on a personal level at each meeting in 2019-20 Ritter invites two members to share some information about themselves. In October, Bonnie Bradbury and Rose Ann Jero were chosen. They shared information about their children and grandchildren. Bradbury brought a quilt that she had made and Jero brought wall hangings with Biblical quotes written in Hebrew.
