Binford House Board holds Christmas meeting

The Marshalltown Federation of Women’s Clubs Board was hosted in the home of president David Giese and his wife, Mary. Members were treated to a brunch following the board meeting at 9 a.m. on Dec. 11.

Cynthia Mansager, Sandy Short and Deb Mason were welcomed as new board members. The board expressed appreciation to the community for responding generously to the fundraising letter and supporting Christmas decor sale while attending the Holiday Stroll Open House on Nov. 23.

These funds are used to protect, maintain and decorate Binford House, 110 N. Second Ave., which is available for reserved social events for organizations, businesses and families with brunch, luncheon and dinner. The reservations and menu selections can be made by calling 641-753-5450.

Plans are in the making for a Mystery Dinner to be held at the house and For the Love of Binford Valentine Events. Details will follow soon.

Mary Giese reported on the sales of Binford House Photo Cards at the recent Fairgrounds sale as well as those displayed at Hellberg Jewelers in Marshalltown.

The next meeting will be at 9 a.m. on Jan. 9, 2020, at Binford House.
