Matins hear about Highways 14, 30 projects
Program Host Andy Schwandt introduced Tony Gustafson who is the assistant highway traffic engineer for the 12 counties in central Iowa. He informed the Matins that Highway 14 north of Marshalltown will be closed for 60 days this summer as the deeper ditches, widened shoulders and new concrete overlay will be completed.
Highway 30 east of Tama will soon complete the grading for the new four-lane on the north side of the existing highway and will start pouring concrete this summer with new ramps for the Highway 21 intersection at a cost of $6 million per mile.
