Program on Red Wing pottery shared at Chapter BB

The regular business meeting of P.E.O. Chapter BB was held on Oct. 18 in the home of Sandy Short with Jean Brennecke and Sue Cope as co-hostesses.

President Carolyn Anderson welcomed P.E.O. visitors Jan Young, a member of CF in State Center and Bailey Rarick from Chapter JY in Des Moines. It was announced that Patricia Brolin-Ribi has been installed as the new International P.E.O. president for the 2021-23 biennium. Brolin-Ribi urges chapters to concentrate on the two tenants of P.E.O.: 1. Its mission of support for women’s education through Projects and 2. Its hallmark of loving concern that bonds and lifts up sisters.

The next Conversation with Coffee is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Nov. 4 at the Tremont restaurant. Joy in a Jar, the chapter’s Christmas social, will be held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 2 at the Binford House. Members are to bring a surprise gift in a quart jar enclosed in a plain paper bag, $10 limit. Short presented a program about Red Wing Pottery. As a passionate and renowned collector, she shared historical information while highlighting the amazing collection displayed in her home. Short concluded by saying, “the very best part of being a collector is being a part of the wonderful family of Red Wing Pottery collectors.” Refreshments were served on Red Wing pottery.
