Sigma Master holds May meeting

Sigma Master Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi met for lunch at Legends American Grill on May 9 with Alice Nicholson hosting. Seven members and one guest answered the opening meeting with the question “What are your plans for Mother’s Day?”

Minutes of the April 11 meeting was read and approved, along with Barb Noid giving the Treasurer’s Report. She stated that $100 was sent to the Central Business District for the flowers along Main Street.

Health reports were given, as one member was absent due to an injury. Also, “thinking of you” cards were signed and sent to five Members at Large.

Dorothy Perry announced the meeting with Ginny Bumsted at the Grandview Nursing Home on April 20 awarding her with the 60-year pin membership of BEQ was greatly appreciated. Her son Gary was present to thank us with coffee and donuts as Jan Keller, Louise Powers and Nicholson so enjoyed.

As this will be the last meeting for the year 2023, Caralee Hutchens gave us the opportunity to choose the meeting date as she prepares the new Program Book for 2023-24.

For summer outings, June 13 was chosen to attend a friendly gathering at Grandview Nursing Home at 2 p.m. for coffee and cookies in the front lobby with Bumsted.

President Diane Hobson closed the meeting with decisions to be made for the July and August gatherings at surrounding restaurants.
