Matins Kiwanis installs officers

CONTRIBUTED PHOTO

The Matins Kiwanis club met the evening of Sept. 28 for its annual meeting to install the upcoming year’s Board of Directors. The active membership is enthusiastic about the coming year and is eager to support the Kiwanis motto, Serving the children of the world, one community and one child at a time. Contributions to the community are many, including two scholarships awarded to MHS seniors each year and a personal book to every student in pre-school in Marshalltown and State Center.

The club meets regularly at 6:30 a.m. at the Salvation Army. Visitors and potential members are invited to attend. Matins welcomes any volunteers who would like to assist the club with selling funnel cakes from its trailer during the summer months.
