Beta Sigma Phi celebrates member’s birthday
Beta Sigma Phi, Chapter Sigma Master met for lunch at Pizza Ranch on Nov. 12 with all members except Alice and Caralee Hutchens who were enjoying a trip to Branson, Mo.
President Dorothy Perry thanked Jan Keller for hosting the day. Seven members and one guest answered roll call with the question: “Your favorite candy?” Dark chocolate, a healthy one was top of the list.
Minutes of the Sept. 12 meeting were read with the correction that Liz Wood is at Southridge Nursing Home. Barb Noid gave the Treasurer report including Member at Large Romaine Mackaman’s who lives in Ankeny.
Five members and two guests enjoyed the celebration of Member Ginny Bumsted’s 99th birthday at the Harmony Nursing Home, where she lives. Her son Gary Bumsted hosted the lunch with a decorated birthday cake for all to share. Perry then presented her with a beautiful Yellow Rose as a token of friendship from the chapter.
The meeting closed announcing Dec. 10 for the Christmas celebration to be held at Marshall County Ag Building with Hutchens hosting at 11 a.m. for lunch.
