Rotary Club of Marshalltown presents Paul Harris & Kenneth Britnall awards

The Rotary Club of Marshalltown presented the Paul Harris and Kenneth Brintnall Awards to selected members at its holiday meeting on Dec. 15. Rotary member Dennis Drager presented the Paul Harris Fellow Awards, given in honor of Paul Harris who founded Rotary in 1905. Members or non-members who have provided a cumulative gift of $1,000 or more to the Rotary International Foundation earn a recognition pin. VFW Auxiliary holds July meeting

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of Post 839 met on July 16 at the post home. The meeting started at 6 p.m. with 11 members present. Connie Kennelley, president, conducted the meeting according to the ritual and the Pledge of Allegiance was spoken. The minutes were read from the previous meeting on June 18; corrections were made and approved. Marshall County public health nurse addresses Rotarians

Following a time of fellowship with pianist Arlene Selby providing background music, Rotary President Mary Giese welcomed Marshalltown Rotarians to its noon gathering at the Elmwood Country Club on July 14. Members attended both in person and via Zoom. The club welcomed Texas Rotarian Amy Fowler who is visiting Marshalltown on business. John Fink provided the opening prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.
