Bethney and Luke Ahrendsen, of Adel, are the parents of a son, Asher Edward Ahrendsen, born on May 4 at Methodist Hospital of Des Moines. Asher weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 20 inches in length. Welcoming Asher home is big sister, Lyla, 2. Grandparents are: Nancy and Mark Larson, of Marshalltown, and Gloria and Bruce Ahrendsen, of Panora. Great grandparents are Ruth Larson, of Marshalltown, and Joanne Potts, of Elk Horn.
