• On Friday, a theft was reported to the Marshalltown Police Station.

• On Friday, a theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 10 block of South Fourth Avenue.

• On Saturday, a case of vandalism to property was reported in the 400 block of Melody Lane.

• On Sunday, a hit and run accident was reported at 3012 S. Center St.

• On Sunday, a hit and run accident was reported in the 500 block of North Second Street.

Citations

• On Friday, Jesse Quazell Pickens, 38, was cited for driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended.

Arrests

• On Friday, Kenneth Keatings III, 38, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Friday, Robert Meling, 40, was arrested for striking unattended vehicle.

• On Friday, Julius Flute, 35, was arrested for child endangerment-bodily injury.

• On Saturday, Jack Edwards, 31, was arrested for trespass, interference with official acts and public intoxication-first offense.

• On Saturday, Joel Gomez Deniz, 41, was arrested for public intoxication-first offense.

• On Saturday, Charles Taylor II, 65, was arrested for dominion or control of a firearm by a domestic abuse offender and willful injury-causing bodily injury.

• On Sunday, Heather Bell, 31, was arrested on a warrant.

Accidents

• On Friday, a Marshalltown snow plow driven by Joey Dean Witte, 51, of Gilman, was driving on Laurel Drive when it started to slide and struck a legally parked Kia Sorento. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Kia was estimated at $1,500.

• On Friday, a pickup driven by Robert William Meling, 40, of Marshalltown, was exiting a parking spot at Casey’s General Store when it struck a GMC Sierra pickup. No injuries were reported. Meling was cited for striking an unattended vehicle. Damage to the GMC Sierra was estimated at $1,500 while the Meling pickup received an estimated $1,000 in damage.

• On Saturday, a pickup driven by Christopher Arlan Buls, 46, of Marshalltown, was exiting his driveway when it collided with a legally parked Nissan Pathfinder. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Pathfinder was estimated at $1,000 while the Buls pickup received an estimated $500 in damage.

• On Saturday, a vehicle driven by Jennifer Ann Beam, 29, of Marshalltown, was westbound on Olive Street when it attempted a right turn toward South Seventh Avenue and collided with the driver’s side of a pickup driven by John Davis Pollard, 18, of Marshalltown, which had been in Beam’s blind spot. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Pollard pickup was estimated at $500 while the Beam vehicle received an estimated $1,000 in damage.

• On Sunday, an unknown vehicle was traveling in the 500 block of North Second Street when it struck a legally parked Toyota Rav4 and left the scene without giving information. Damage to the front driver’s side bumper and tire area of the Rav4 was estimated at $3,000.

Arrests

• On Friday, Julius Flute, 35, was arrested on a warrant charging him with child endangerment-bodily injury.

• On Friday, Jesse Wignall, 28, was arrested on a warrant charging him with failure to appear for sentencing or appeal on a felony.

• On Sunday, Ashley Griggs, 21, was arrested on a warrant charging her with violation of parole.

• On Sunday, Chelsea Kerr, 28, was arrested on a warrant charging her with violation of probation.

Accidents

• On Jan. 12, a car driven by Corben Jay Boot, 18, of Parkersburg, was northbound on Marsh Avenue on a slushy roadway when the driver made a minor adjustment on the road and lost all traction resulting in the car sliding across the road and into the west ditch where it struck a utility pole causing it to splinter. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Boot car was estimated at $12,000 while the Alliant utility pole received an estimated $4,000 in damage.

• On Jan. 12, a vehicle driven by Valerie Dee Wiley, 44, of Marengo, was eastbound on Highway 30 when the driver lost control resulting in the vehicle sliding off the roadway and entering the south ditch where it rolled onto the driver’s side. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Wiley vehicle was estimated at $6,000.

• On Friday, a car driven by Carl Jay Weatherly, 28, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on Main Street Road when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Weatherly car was estimated at $4,000.
